An experiment with cold
It's been two days since I've contracted what feels like hay fever - sore throat, coughs, sneezes and runny nose. This isn't a new occurrence, like clockwork I contract it every interseason and it lasts for around a week.
I generally take my dose of recommended medicine (mostly cetirizine and paracetamol) which make me feel drowsy and miserable throughout the day, but this time I plan on experimenting with something different. This time I am duking it out with no drug treatments whatsoever, not even bedrest, just grit and time. I want to see what happens.
If this actually turns out to be the better option all along it will be a huge revelation.
Update: Fuck that, this was a horrible idea; I don't know what I was thinking. I gave in and bought a mometasone nasal spray as I should have right at the beginning. Stupid!
